Love on the Tracks by Richard Attlee, inspired by the short stories of Anton Chekhov.

On a summer’s evening, in 1890, a train pulls out of Moscow station. On board sit three fretful passengers, each with an extraordinary tale to tell. As their stories are played out in a series of delightful comic vignettes, the drama in the carriage tantalisingly unfolds.

Love on the Tracks is a romantic comedy inspired by the early stories and farces of Anton Chekhov. Full of light-hearted humour and wonderfully eccentric characters, Love on the Tracks presents a 19th century world of dysfunctional marriage, traumatic romance and rampant infidelity - in a very modern way!

Writer Richard Attlee, who also performs in Love on the Tracks, is best known for his role as Kenton Archer in the BBC Radio 4 series, The Archers.

This Watermill Theatre touring production will be at Basildon Village Hall on Wednesday 16th May at 7.30 pm, tickets are £10 and can be booked by calling 0118 984 3441.
